Introduction to this page and what it’s about
My purpose for making this page is to set goals to motivate myself to really apply myself academically; I want to exceed in mathematics, and I want to get a cumulative GPA of 3.5. If I have the accountability of the entire internet, I will feel the conviction to press through the difficult bits. I have found that accountability is a powerful motivator, and this page is the ultimate accountability.
It has been years since I’ve done any form of math, and the furthest I ever got in high-school was (I believe) was completing the square; my knowledge is extensively limited.
I need to take calculus 1 – 3, among other classes, to complete my four-year (assuming I decide to transfer; and I most definitely do.) Thankfully, I’ll only need to be up to precalc by the time I complete my associate of science.
I am in the process of taking a College Algebra class to brush up on the basics before I move on up, and I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. My desire is to get a 3.7 this semester, so I must grind my mathematical abilities to a fine edge. And I will do whatever it takes to meet that goal. If not a 3.7, at bare minimum a 3.5.
I most definitely will not be able to grind my way into honors for my associates program, but if my GPA transfers over when I also transfer(?) my hope is to graduate with at least a 3.5.
I am not working. I am not disabled. There are people with chronic disability that have graduated higher-education with honors. There is no excuse for me to not get my GPA up to at least a 3.5. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever. I just need focus.
